this is my final shirt for patternmaking/tailoring III, which was also the shirt i designed for the loehmann’s contest. unfortunately i didn’t make it past the semi-finals, but it’s all good. also if you didn’t notice, i decided to remove the chest pocket from the shirt. considering the style lines and the movement, i felt it best to follow the mantra “less is more”

this shirt proved to be more difficult than i had anticipated. especially since I chose to use a heavier weight vinyl for piping in contrast with the light weight shirting. those intersections are no joke. and the stylized placket WITH the piping really got me. I ended up having to redo the front left side and placket to get it just right.

i’ll post better pictures and the pants another time.

here’s a layout of some work i will be doing for my final project this semester at FIT. i’ve already made up the pants and started the coat, so I will have to take some photos and share that with you as well.
